My love of sports throughout my life has provided many opportunities to train and compete on a daily basis. On August 4, 2013, life changed for me. While cycling that day, I had an accident that resulted in a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). The immediate actions and medical attention from the doctors and nurses at AGH made it possible for me to be here today. Their medical expertise was invaluable along with the outreach given to my family in a time of need.
After 1,427 days of medical care and support, I will enter the water and compete for the first time since my accident. On July 1st, I’ll participate in a 2.4 mile open water swim in Turks & Caicos. This event provides me the opportunity to give back to AGH Neuroscience in honor of the Patient Care Fund. Your contribution will help support head injury patients and their families in a time of need.
Thank you for your support in this cause that is near and dear to my heart.
